Inkscape! Gimp! Comic! Camera! Right I must have all of these things and copy you immediately. I have photoshop, illustrator and a camera phone! Oh, and an all-consuming hatred of all comics, which might get in the way a bit. Best post ever! PS yay honeymoons.

Oh, does inkscape have an autotracing routine?  Given every vector system for the ST had an autotracing routine, most of them admittedly bobbins, I've been surprised how hard they are to find on more modern graphics software.

I have no idea, but there's always autotrace (though judging from the dates on the web page it looks like it's no longer being developed).

Is autotrace anything specific beyond a routine for converting bitmap graphics to vector ones? If not then yes ('trace bitmap') and it has a number of sub-options too (of which only one produced non-bobbins output, aiw).
